Allen Thompson, MS, ATC, LAT, PES, CES, CSIWCP, CIEE, CAE, CWCHP, AOEAS is a safety, loss-control, workers’ compensation, and ergonomics professional with more than two decades of experience spanning healthcare, industrial rehabilitation, professional athletics, risk management, and insurance.

Allen currently serves as the Mississippi and Louisiana Workers’ Compensation Sales Manager. He is responsible for quality control of services regarding utilization, FCEs, Impairment Ratings, and case closure.

Allen served as a Safety Specialist and Loss Control Specialist with SteadPoint, LLC, where he provided loss-control analysis, risk assessments, ergonomic evaluations, and serves as a liaison between insurance carriers and insured organizations. His work focuses on identifying workplace risks, improving safety processes, and developing practical strategies that support injury prevention, effective claims management, and improved return-to-work outcomes.

Previously, Allen served as Industrial Regional Director for Elite Physical Therapy, where he worked extensively with workers’ compensation and industrial populations, physical and occupational therapists, employers, and third-party insurance carriers. His experience includes more than 4,250 Functional Capacity Evaluations, 2,500 impairment ratings, ergonomic assessments, causation reports, job descriptions, POET reporting, and workers’ compensation consulting.

Allen also brings significant professional-sports experience from his time with the St. Louis Cardinals, including roles as Head Athletic Trainer for the Johnson City and Palm Beach Cardinals. He was recognized as the 2006 Florida State League Athletic Trainer of the Year and later received the 2019 Clinic/Industrial/Corporate Athletic Trainer of the Year award from SEATA.

A frequent speaker and educator, Allen has presented on workers’ compensation, ergonomics, causation, industrial athletic training, safety, communication, and functional capacity evaluations at professional conferences and organizational events.

Allen is married to Mandy Thompson (Kjeldahl) and has two daughters Ally (23) and McKenzie (19).
